(Los Angeles, CA) Electronic bass pop trio Contra unveils the first single, "1992," off of their forthcoming EP The 90s Are All That. An ode to the slammin' era, the album introduces Australian vocalist and producer Baby and her posse to the pop scene as the next act to watch. Sidestepping the traditional pop music formula, Baby said goodbye to her home country of Australia and moved to Los Angeles, where she met drummer Robbie and guitarist Zacchaeus. Gelling together their musical influences, from the dubby, house beats of Jesse Rose to the sweet lyrics of INOJ to the dancing energy of Quad City Djs, The 90s Are All That is a sampling of 90s best, but with today's cool edge. As described by the band, the EP is if "Disclosure built a time machine, went back and produced all of the So So Def Bass All Stars Compilations." Tentatively set for a spring 2015 release, the EP will also include the singles "1996" and "1998."
